ESPN ranks Michael Thomas as one of the top WRs in NFL, but not No. 1 – Buckeyes Wire

Former Ohio State and current New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has turned into one of the premier superstars in the NFL. It’s an easy argument to make that he’s done more in his first five years in the league than any human pass-catcher has done in the history of the top league in American football.
So, it should be no surprise that he has one of only five coveted 99 ratings in the newly released Madden NFL 21 ratings, because he’s that good. However, there are still those out there who believe he’s not the clear No. 1 receiver in the NFL, and one is ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler apparently.
ESPN has taken some passes at ranking the top 10 at each position in the NFL and turned its eyes toward the wide receivers (subscription required) last week. And while Thomas is very high up there, he was not regarded as the best.
So, what does Fowler say about Thomas? Why does he not consider him the best receiver in the world?
