Dany Garcia is Positioned to Lead the XFL into the Future – XFL News Hub

We at XFL News Hub are all extremely excited to be back in action, and its all thanks to Dany Garcia, Dwayne The Rock Johnson and RedBird Capital Partners. While weve heard that the new ownership is aiming for a 2021 XFL season, theres a ton of work to be done this offseason to get things rolling.
Garcia and The Rock have a long and successful history of being in business together, and theyre now bringing their efforts to the XFL. When we take a closer look, theres a lot to be excited about with the leagues new ownership.
Dany Garcia is a business mogul, film executive and bodybuilder who started off in finance, working her way up to become the Associate Vice President of Merrill Lynch. Merrill now manages over $2.3 Trillion in assets.
Always eager for more ventures, she started her own asset management firm in JDM Partners and expanded into the real estate market. She eventually pivoted to the entertainment industry, where she has produced a litany of films, along with managing movie stars Henry Cavill and her ex-husband the Rock.
While the two ended their marriage back in 2007, theyve remained on great terms as business partners, parents and friends for the past decade plus. As his manager, Garcia helped the Rock become the highest paid actor in the world.
Its a unique partnership, but one with a long track record of winning, and her ex-husband said
The best part of this, is the example were setting for our little girl.
With an extensive filmography as an executive producer, Dany Garcia has seen her projects make Billions with a capital B, and is well-positioned to further hone in the XFL product.
Sure, Vince McMahon and Oliver Luck had tons of experience running sports leagues, but having ownership with a film background leads me to think that the production value of all the XFLs media is going to skyrocket.
When the league shut down halfway through the 2020 season and began to run into financial difficulties, Dany Garcia just saw opportunity, and a league worth fighting for. In an interview with People Magazine, she said
It was so wonderful to see this natural movement by the fan base to just have a blast and engage deeply, and know that it matteredI think one of the greatest things about the XFL, as a startup, is that everyone recognizes every moment matters. It matters to the person whos in the seat. It matters to the athlete whos on the field thats magic, right? You care. When you care, that changes everything
Sounds like shes in it For the Love of Football. When rumors began swirling that the league would be up for sale, Dany Garcia made a call to the Rock.
Lets buy the XFL
Four words, a few months of business and $15 Million later, she is the first woman to own a professional sports league. Now, Garcia and The Rock are at the helm, ready to steer the league to a 2021 season and beyond.
Shes been in charge one day, and is already talking about rehiring XFL staff, and potential expansion franchises down the road. If youre not as hyped as we are go ahead and start your engines. With Garcias business and entertainment experience, and a fervent work ethic that only a CEO/Bodybuilder could know, I think were in great hands.
In short, the XFL got a hitter. More updates to come at XFL News Hub.
