Homs (Syria News) Twelve members of Syrian regime forces were either killed or wounded by the explosion of a landmine in the area of al-Houla, in the northern countryside of Homs, Enab Baladi News reported on Thursday.

Pro-regime social media pages stated that a landmine exploded in the city of al-Houla, killing five members of the Syrian army, including a captain, as well as wounding seven soldiers.

Meanwhile, Enab Baladi reported that the explosion took place near the National Hospitak, south of Taldo City, while security forces were entering the area.

The explosion took place after the regime forces fully captured the northern countryside of Homs and southern countryside of Hama, following the exit of the last patch of the residents toward Idlib.

It is noteworthy that the General Command of Assad Forces released a statement, yesterday, saying that it captured 1200 square kilometers of the northern countryside of Homs and southern countryside of Hama.
