Idlib (Syria News) Air strikes were conducted on several areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, while clashes broke out on Latakia Mountains, leaving casualties, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Tuesday.

In Idlib Province, the SOHR revealed that warplanes continue their air strikes on areas in the villages of Tal Aas and Tal Tar’ei in the southern countryside of the province, but no casualties were reported, the regime forces continued their shelling on areas in the western countryside of the province.

Furthermore, the Observatory monitored renewed shelling by the regime forces on areas in Jisr al-Shughur City and its vicinity, while pointed out that the regime forces also shelled areas in Bidama Town, in the western countryside of the city Jisr al-Shughur, but also no casualties were reported.

In the meantime in Latakia Province, clashes broke out between the Syrian rebels and Islamic factions against the regime forces and their allied militiamen, in the last 24 hours, in the area of Techalma, which is located in the northern countryside of the province, killing at least one member of the regime forces; however, the factions didn’t suffer any human losses.

It is noteworthy that during the uprising since 2011, Idlib was the main points of protests in the early phase of the Syrian civil war. As the uprising descended into armed conflict, the province became the focus point of a rebel campaign, which temporarily captured the city and province, prior to a regime offensive in April 2012.
