Idlib (Syria News) A number of attacks by anonymous armed groups were carried out on medical and educational staff in the city of Dana, in the northern countryside of Idlib.

Enab Baladi News reported that a group of gunmen tried, this morning, to break into a hospital; however, the hospital’s security managed to foil the attempt.

Furthermore, local sources informed that the gunmen managed to flee, through agricultural roads, without being able to kidnap any medical staff from the hospital.

In the meantime, another group of armed men broke into the University of Dana, at dawn today, and robbed electronic equipment from the university.

The Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Professor Kamal Bakour, said in a statement that the robbers captured the security guard, and managed to steal 13 computers and 6 thousand US dollars.

The province of Idlib witnessed a case of security chaos in the last two months, which was started with the assassination of prominent military key members.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Network for Human Rights has documented the killing of six medical personnel in Syria in May 2018, while pointed out that 83% of them were killed by anonymous parties and the remaining were killed by Syrian regime and its allied Iranian militias.
