Daraa (Syria News) The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, on Tuesday, that Daraa al-Balad area, in Daraa City witnesses heavy shelling by the Syrian regime forces.
The Observatory revealed that the regime forces, and their allied militants, shelled several areas in Daraa al-Balad, in addition to exchanging fire with the opposition factions in the area of Daraa Camp, leaving casualties among the ranks of both parties.
Meanwhile in Idlib Province, at least 3 persons, including a child, were killed in air strikes carried out by Syrian warplanes, this morning, on areas in Kurin Town, in the southern countryside of Idlib. Also, 2 citizens have been killed in other air strikes on Souq area in Ariha city, south of Idlib.
The number of casualties may increase due to the presence of serious injuries, the Observatory added. In the meantime, a woman and a child were killed in al-Sokkariyeh Village, in an air strike carried out by Syrian warplanes on areas in the villages located in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughur City, located west of Idlib countryside.
It is noteworthy that during the uprising since 2011, Idlib was the main points of protests in the early phase of the Syrian civil war. As the uprising descended into armed conflict, the province became the focus point of a rebel campaign, which temporarily captured the city and province, prior to a regime offensive in April 2012.
