Homs (SyriaNews.media) Media sources belonging to the Islamic State group reported, on Sunday, that 20 members of the Syrian regime forces were killed in a car bomb blast in al-Abbasiya area, south of Palmyra.

Meanwhile, clashes broke out between the Syrian government forces and the Islamic State group, after the regime forces attempted to advance into the terrorist group’s locations from three axes, amid mutual rockets and artillery shelling.

Furthermore, the Islamic State group announced repulsing an attack by the government forces and destroying several military vehicles, north of al-Sawame’ area, near the city of Palmyra.

Noteworthy, Syrian government forces and the affiliated militias, backed by Russian Air Force, recaptured several areas in the eastern countryside of Homs.
