Idlib (Syria News) Four explosions hit the city of al-Dana in the northern countryside of Idlib Province, on Tuesday evening, Enab Baladi News reported on Wednesday. The explosions resulted in the injury of members of the Civil Defense and civilians in the area.
The first explosion was carried out using a booby-trapped vehicle that targeted a headquarters belonging to Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, and it was followed by three successive blasts in different areas of the city.
Four members of the Syrian Civil Defense were injured while they were trying to extinguish the fire that broke out due to the blasts, while a civilian was also injured in the blasts.
The circumstances behind the three successive blasts that followed the first one were not identified till the moment; however, some social media activists informed that the explosions took place due to the presence of fuel tanks in the blast area.
It is noteworthy that the blasts took place after the announcement made by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham that it will launch an offensive in Idlib against cells belonging to the Islamic State group.
Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham also accused both the Syrian regime and Islamic State group of carrying out assassinations operations in the city of Idlib.
