Aleppo (Syria News) The Free Syrian Army (FSA) has captured several areas in Rajo area in Afrin District, while cut off Rajo-Afrin road, within Ghosn al-Zaytoun offensive that was launched by Turkey few days ago, Enab Baladi reported on Thursday.
Official sources informed that the Free Syrian Army imposed its control over several areas in Rajo area in Afrin District, after ongoing battels yesterday.
The Turkish offensive started last Saturday in several axes, while military factions, backed by Turkish forces, managed to capture many towns and villages in the vicinity of Afrin, the sources added.
The Military Spokesman for Sham Front Mohamed Hamdin said that the control of the areas allowed the security forces to cut off Rajo-Afrin road after the battles.
It is noteworthy that the Kurdish People Protection Units (YPJ) considered the Turkish offensive as a violation of Kurds demands and rights, while accused Russia and the United States of allying with Turkey in this regard.
The Free Syrian Army and other factions managed during the last six days, through Ghosn al-Zaytoun offensive, to capture several villages, including: Shankal, Hay Uglu, Arsawa, Zahran, Sheikh Kharouz and other areas.
Furthermore, other sources pointed out that the military factions are preparing to launch an assault in Manbej, east of Aleppo.
