FSA’s Jaysh al-Nasr appoints new leaders in north

Damascus (Syria News) Jaysh al-Nasr (the Army of Victory), one of the Free Syrian Army factions, has deployed new leadership in the Syrian north, days after joining the Turkish front instead of the American one.

Enab Baladi news reported, today, that Jaysh al-Nasr has appointed Major Hassan Sheikh as a deputy army commander, Major Zuhair Sheikh as Army Chief of Stuff and Hassan Humaidi as Head of the Political Bureau.

Jaysh al-Nasr is one of the prominent factions of the Free Syrian Army operating in the central and northen areas of Syria. The militia includes several brigades and recently participated in battles in the southern countryside of Aleppo, in addition to the battles in the countryside of Hama.

Main operations of Jaysh al-Nasr are taking place in the northern and eastern countryside of Hama, especially in areas where Assad forces are trying to advance from to Idlib.

Furthermore, Jaysh al-Nasr witnessed in the last few days internal conflicts resulted in the split of two brigades, representing nearly 20% of its military formation.

It is noteworthy that the faction released on Thursday photos of its fighters while participating in battles in Affrin area, which is considered the first operation outside the countryside of Hama and Idlib.
