Hama (Syria News) Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) managed to recapture several villages from the Islamic State militants, in the eastern countryside of Hama, sources told Qasioun News on Tuesday.

The sources informed that the HTS militia was able to recapture several villages from the Islamic State militants, after clashes between the two sides, in the eastern countryside of Hama, in northern Syria.

Furthermore, the HTS advanced toward Sammakia, Tufaha, Andarin and Buwaid areas, while the Islamic State group started toward Athraya – Sheikh Hilal highway and Shakosya, Rahjan and Sarha villages, in the eastern countryside of Hama, during an offensive carried out by the HTS militias to recapture the area.

It is noteworthy that the Islamic State managed to cross Uqayribat District, in eastern Hama, towards the HTS-held Rahjan area, based on an agreement with the Syrian regime forces.
