Deir Ezzor (Syria News) A number of regime forces members were killed, while others were captured in an ambush set by the Islamic State to attack a military queue, east of Deir Ezzor, ISIS-owned Amaq News Agency reported on Thursday.
Amaq revealed that the Islamic State fighters attacked a queue belonging to Assad forced, containing vehicles, weapons and various ammunition.
The Islamic State fighters managed to burn and destroy seven vehicles, as well as killing and capturing dozens of Assad forces members, Amaq added.
The military queue was heading toward al-Sokhna City in the eastern countryside of Homs, coming from the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Manwhile, DeirEzzor 24 Network reported that the queue is following the “National Defense”, and it was heading to back the Assad Forces in the eastern countryside of Homs.
The network added that at least 50 members of Assad forces were killed, while others were captured in al-Showla area, in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Earlier this week, the Islamic State attacked a gathering of the regime forces in the Syrian Desert, east of Homs, using a booby-trapped vehicle, killing 30 members and injuring 10 others.
The explosion coincided with the exit of the Islamic State fighters from the southern Damascus neighborhoods to As-Suwayda Desert, via vehicles and buses, based on an agreement with Assad Forces.
