Daraa (Syria News) The ISIS affiliate Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Waleed militia announced, on Sunday, repulsing an attempt made by the opposition factions to advance into the its areas in Yarmouk Basin, in the western countryside of Daraa.

The ISIS-owned Amaq News Agency reported that the fighters of Jaysh Khalid have foiled an attempt by the opposition factions to advance into the town of Adwan, west of Daraa.

Amaq also added that ten members of the Free Syrian Army were either killed or wounded due to the explosion of landmines, in addition to destroying a tank belonging to them while there were advancing on the outskirts of the town.

Yesterday, a mutual shelling took place between the opposition factions and Jaysh Khalid militia, amid news about an offensive conducted by the opposition factions to break the siege on the town of Hayt.

Meanwhile, official sources informed that the factions started preparing to launch the offensive, with the participation of a large number of fighters.

It is noteworthy that Jaysh Khalid has captured the majority of towns in Yarmouk Basin, after launching an attack in February 2017 and capturing several areas, while its fighters are deployed in the areas of Yarmouk Basin, in addition to the villages of Jamla and Abdeen, on the border with the occupied Golan.
