Aleppo (Syria News) Several missiles fell, yesterday, on a neighborhood in the regime-held city of Aleppo, while regime forces shelled some areas in the northern countryside of Hama, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Saturday.
The SOHR revealed that many shells fell on areas in the regime-held Shahba neighborhood, in the city of Aleppo, but no casualties were reported till the moment.
Meanwhile in Hama Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the regime forces shelled, after midnight of yesterday, some areas in the towns of Kafr Zita and al-Lataminah, in the northern countryside of Hama, but also no casualties were reported.
It is noteworthy that the city of Hama was the site of conflict between the Syrian army and opposition forces as one of the main arenas of the Syrian civil war during the 2011 siege of Hama.
In late July 2012, fighters from the surrounding countryside mounted their first offensive in Aleppo, and since then some of the civil war’s “most devastating bombing and fiercest fighting has taken place” in Aleppo, often in residential areas.
