Nusra robs money of 11 bankers coming from Afrin

Afrin (SyriaNews.media) A checkpoint of Jabhet Fateh al-Sham (formerly Nusra Front) stopped 11 bankers, including Kurdish persons, coming from the city of Afrin in Syrian Kurdistan, and seized thousands of dollars, Bas News reported on Sunday.

Local sources said that a checkpoint in the city of Sarmada belonging to Jabhet Fateh al-Sham, arrested 11 bankers, who were coming from the city of Afrin, and seized their money.

The checkpoint’s members robbed thousands of dollars from the bankers, the sources added.

One of the bankers, known as Muhammed Nawazi, revealed that the checkpoint’s members stole 300 thousand dollars from him, while another one said that they took 130 thousand dollars.

The sources also pointed out that Jabhet Fateh al-Sham accused the bankers of supporting PYD forces and the Islamic State, in order to seize their money.
