Regime forces renew their artillery shelling on northern countryside of Hama

Hama (Syria News) The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, on Monday, that the regime forces continue conducting artillery shelling on the areas located in the northern countryside of Hama Province.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed that the regime forces carried out artillery shelling on areas in al-Zakat Village, in the northern countryside of Hama. In the meantime, a rocket fell on area in the vicinity of a power station at the outskirts of Muhradah City, in the western countryside of the province, causing a material damage to the area.

Furthermore, regime forces shelled areas in al-Hawija Village and al-Qahirah Village, in Sahl al-Ghab area, in the northwestern countryside of Hama, injuring a number people and killing another one.

Meanwhile, other areas in the outskirts of al-Zakah Village and other areas in al-Lataminah Town, as well as areas in Kafr Zita Town, in the northern countryside of Hama, were shelled using artillery by the regime forces, causing material damage, but no casualties were reported.

It is noteworthy that the city of Hama was the site of conflict between the Syrian army and opposition forces as one of the main arenas of the Syrian civil war during the 2011 siege of Hama.
