Hama (Syria News) The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, on Wednesday, that the Syrian regime force managed to retake more than 30 villages and areas in Hama Province, while pointed out that only hundreds meters are separating the regime forces from reaching al-Rahjan Town, the hometown of the Syrian Minister of Defense Fahd Jassem al-Freij, during the battles taking place between the Syrian civil war combatants.
The Observatory revealed that the Syrian regime forces were able to recapture over the villages and areas of al-Mestriha, al-Shahatiya, Jub Abyad, Rasm Abu Miyal, Rasm al-Sawy, Rasm al-Sawani, Rasm al-Ahmar, Rasm al-Tina, Abu Lafa, Marijib al-Jamalan, al-Khafia, Sham al-Hawa, al-Raharaha, Sarha, Abul Ghar, Baghidid, al-Musheirfa, Juyad, Hassrat, Kharbat al-Rahjan, Hasnawi, Muweileh Shamali, Qasr Ali, Qasr Shawi, Tal Mahsar, al-Rabi’a, Douma, Rabda, al-Hazem and Arafah in the last few days and impose their control over the majority of the countryside of Hama Province.
Furthermore, the regime forces managed to fully recapture al-Mestriha village and extended their control over the countryside of Hama, the observatory added. The regime forces are now hundreds kilometers away from the HTS-held town of al-Rahjan, which is the hometown of the Syrian Minister of Defense Fahd Jassem al-Freij, and that was captured by al-Nusra Front (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” in mid-July 2014, the observatory explained.
In addition, the observatory added, “The regime forces intend with every new attack in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, to use the firearm, along with the violent attacks that allowed them to advance into the area.”
Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported at least 147 members of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, Turkistani Islamic Movement and the Islamic and rebel factions were killed since the regime forces started their offensive on the areas in the northeastern countryside of Hama, in the period between 22 and 27 October 2017.
