Russia: 4 Military Consultants Killed in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor (Syria News) The Russian Ministry of Defense stated, on Sunday, that four Russian military consultants were killed in the city of Deir Ezzor.

In a statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it said that four Russian military consultants were killed, while five others were injured in an attack on their headquarters in the city of Deir Ezzor.

The ministry added, “Our troops repelled several terrorist attacks in Deir Ezzor,” while pointed out to the killing of 43 terrorist and destroying 6 military vehicles.

The medical team could not save the consultants, who died immediately, while transferred the others to the Russian Military Hospital to receive the needed treatment, the ministry explained.

The ministry’s statement was released one day after the Islamic State announced that they killed more than 15 members of the Syrian and Russian forces, during an attack on their headquarters in the vicinity of the city of Mayadin.

Meanwhile, the ISIS-owned Amaq News Agency reported that the Islamic State fighters launched an attack on a queue belonging to the Syrian and Russian forces, west of the city of Mayadin, killing 15 members and destroying 3 vehicles.

The ISIS also attached the headquarters of Assad forces, in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, while captured five members and killed eight others.

It is noteworthy that the Islamic State launched several attacks on Assad forces headquarters in the countryside of Homs and Deir Ezzor in the last few days, killing more than 30 members two days ago using a booby-trapped vehicle in the eastern countryside of Homs.
