SDF announces advancing against regime forces east of Euphrates

Deir Ezzor (Syria News) The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced, on Sunday, advancing against the Islamic State, east of the Euphrates in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.

In a statement, SDF said that it managed to free and secure an area of 2 kilometers, while killed 11 members of the Islamic State group in the axes of al-Bagouz and al-Sosa.

Furthermore, the clashes, in the last two days, concentrated in the axes of al-Bagouz and al-Sosa, amid violent battles and ongoing confrontations against the ISIS fighters in al-Shagal axis.

The confrontations resulted in the damage of three army vehicles, in addition to dismantling dozens of mines, which hindered the advance of the SDF, the statement added.

Meanwhile, the ISIS-owned Amaq news agency stated that its fighter killed a SDF leader, while injured five others, during clashes between the two sides yesterday and today.

It is noteworthy that the military offensives are concentrated on four axes, and they are: Hajeen, As-Shadadi, al-Kasra and al-Baghouz, east of the Euphrates, in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
