Rif Dimashq (Syria News) Syrian army aviation continues its air strikes, on Tuesday, on the cities and towns of eastern Ghouta, leaving many civilian casualties, especially in Jisreen.
Enab Baladi News reported that the Syrian warplanes carried out several air strikes on the city of Jisreen, this morning, killing nine civilians and wounding dozens others.
Fifteen air strikes were conducted on Jisreen, Enab Baladi added. The air strikes also hit the towns of Zamalka, Saqba, Hamouriyah and Doma.
Meanwhile, the regime-owned media outlets ensure that the air strikes on eastern Ghouta are ongoing; however, they claim that the air strike are only conducted on the headquarters of al-Nusra Front in several areas.
The massacre in Jisreen came few hours after a shelling using chlorine gas on the city of Hamouriyah, which left 30 civilians, including women and children, suffering suffocation.
On Sunday, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad vowed to continue the offensive of the last stronghold of the opposition in the vicinity of Damascus.
It is noteworthy that Assad forces are besieging the eastern Ghouta since 2013, while the United Nations warned of the lack of food and medicine in the besieged area. The death toll due to air strikes on eastern Ghouta, yesterday, reached 86 civilians.
