Daraa (Syria News) The Syrian army managed, on Wednesday, to free the village of al-Qusayr in Yarmouk Basin, after capturing the last stronghold of the Islamic State group in Daraa Province.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the Syrian army troops engaged with the ISIS militants in al-Qusayr Village, after capturing the town of al-Shagara and villages of Abdeen, Ma’raba, Koya and Bayt Ara, and managed to capture the last stronghold of the terrorist group in the province.

It also added that the Syrian troops are chasing the remaining militants, who fled to the nearby areas, amid a total collapse in the ranks of the ISIS group, while searching the village and clearing it from any war remnants.

It is noteworthy that after liberating the village of al-Qusayr, the Syrian army defeated all terrorist groups in Daraa, while working to drive out all remaining terrorists who refuse the settlement in a number of the villages in Qunaitra, north of Syria.
