Syrian forces shell Daraa violating Syrian South Truce

Daraa (Syria News) The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, on Saturday, that regime forces shelled some areas in Daraa al-Balad area, in the city of Daraa violating the American-Russian-Jordanian agreement on a truce in the Syrian South.

The regime shelling caused material damage to the area, while the regime forces also shelled areas in the neighborhood of Tariq al-Sadd in Daraa al-Mahatta area, in conjunction with machine guns fire on the same area.

The area also suffered a shelling by the regime forces, several months ago, which resulted in the fall of casualties and caused significant material damage to the property of citizens.

The attacks represented a new and continued violations to the Syrian South Truce, based on the American – Russian – Jordanian agreement, made on the 9th of July 2017.

The regional-international agreement went into effect in three provinces in southern Syria, including Daraa, al-Quneitra and As-Suwayda. However, regime forces violated the truce and fired several shells on faction-controlled areas in Daraa, without causing any casualties.

It is noteworthy that the regime forces previously violated the agreement and fired several shells on the area.
