Syrian regime captures administrative borders of As-Suwayda

As-Suwayda (Syria News) Syrian regime troops managed, on Sunday, to fully capture the eastern administrative borders of As-Suwayda Province from the grip of the Islamic State Group.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported, today, that Assad forces achieved a notable advance against the Islamic State militants in the last few hours, and managed to besiege them in Telul al-Safa area, near the eastern borders of Rif Dimashq.

Furthermore, the regime forces captured the areas of Resoum al-Tamthouni, Kherbet al-Ambashi, Telal al-Haybareya, Resoum Merwsh, Souh al-Naama, Dahret Rashed, Zarebeya, Kerbet al-Shahreya, Wadi al-Remaylan, Wadi Shagara, Zamlet Naser, Nahyan, Tel al-Dab’ and Sheikh Hussien.

Meanwhile, the Islamic State did not release any statement on the development of battles in the countryside of As-Suwayda.

It is noteworthy that the Islamic State relied, in the last few months, on chaos in the desert of As-Suwayda, depending on the rough terrain in the area, while captured 50% of As-Suwayda desert.
