Aleppo (Syria News) The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, on Tuesday, that the Syrian regime forces have attacked the eastern countryside of Salamiyah, while the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia shelled several areas in the city of Azaz, in northern Aleppo.

The SOHR stated that several mortar shells were fired by the Syrian Democratic Forces militia, last night, on areas in the city of Azaz, in the northern countryside of Aleppo, near the Syrian–Turkish border; however, no casualties were reported.

Meanwhile in Hama Province, the Observatory pointed out that several explosions were heard, after the midnight of Monday, in the countryside of Salamiyah area, in eastern Hama. News indicated that the explosions were caused by shelling carried out by the regime forces on several locations in the area, but also no casualties were reported.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Democratic Forces was formed in October 2015, with an aim to create a democratic and federal Syria, while in 2016, the updated constitution of the Democratic Federation of Northern Syria names the SDF as its official defense forces.
