Homs (Syria News) Syrian warplanes carried out intensive air strikes, after the midnight of Saturday, on the northeastern countryside of Homs, while regime forces shelled areas in the western countryside of Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
The Syrian warplanes conducted air raids on the contact areas between the regime forces and the factions in the northeastern countryside of Homs Province, while also attacked al-Za’afaraneh and al-Mijaydil Villages; however, no casualties were reported.
The SOHR also revealed that the areas located northeast of Homs have been witnessing renewed clashes, as well as aerial and rocket shelling for the past few days.
Meanwhile in Idlib Province, the Syrian regime forces shelled, at dawn today, areas in Jisr al-Shughur City, in the western countryside of the province, and also no casualties were documented.
It is noteworthy that during the uprising since 2011, Idlib was the main points of protests in the early phase of the Syrian civil war. As the uprising descended into armed conflict, the province became the focus point of a rebel campaign, which temporarily captured the city and province, prior to a regime offensive in April 2012.
