Idlib (Syria News) Hayat Tahrir al-Sham militia arrested 20 persons, on Sunday, on charges of following the Islamic State group, in the northern and western countryside of Idlib.
Ebaa News Agency reported that 20 persons were arrested in Darkoush, KafrHend, Ezmarin and Tel Amar, on charges of following the Islamic State group and joining its militants.
Tahrir al-Sham Leader Khaled al-Shamy said that the security operations are ongoing against the Islamic State group and their associates, especially with the approaching offensive by the Syrian regime.
It is noteworthy that the activity of the Islamic State group has renewed in Idlib in the last few months, after several assaults against the Free Syrian Army and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham militants.
Idlib Province is also suffering from security chaos, resulting in a number of crimes, including: homicide and kidnapping. Furthermore, assassination attempts against civilians, military personnel and doctors were witnessed in different areas of the province.
The Islamic State assaults also reached the cities of Raqqa, Hasakah and Deir Ezzor, where dozens of the Syrian Democratic Forces militants were killed.
